I mistook a power line for a lightning bolt
There was a glint, a flare on the way home
Am I hurtling toward uncertainty or have I never known anything?
The curvature of our spines, the clambering, the illusion of gender
The camera cranes right to left to reveal the shifting of ferns and huckleberries
I'm watching foliage phasing through the twilight
These animals are baying so they can bear offspring and I'm fixated on the sky in the dark on a trampoline
This predated the fucking self medication but even then I was thinking about dying
In the pit of my stomach there's a singularity gestating

The day is the flash of LED lights
Graphical swirling permeates my skull
It's been a backdrop for a sequence of fuck-ups and self-analysis
There is no guiding light just the distant humming of transistors signalling
My heart is bent backwards, time is dilating
I'm watching my life unfold from a distance
It seems my feelings often stem from random directions
